Vanderbilt University
operates several
libraries, with the
Jean and Alexander Heard
Library
serving as the hub. The
Heard Library has more
than two million volumes
with a fully
computerized card
catalog and some 6,400
periodicals. The library
receives all
publications of the U.S.
government and the
United Nations.
The Annette and Irwin
Eskind Biomedical
Library (EBL),
a unit of Vanderbilt
University Medical
Center's
Informatics Center,
is the hub of the
medical center's
information services and
resources. The EBL
provides an extensive
digital library of
electronic journals,
books, databases and
other resources, in
addition to over 200,000
print volumes.
The Stevenson Science
and Engineering Library,
adjacent to the School
of Engineering, contains
more than 325,800
volumes and more than
2,000 periodicals on
science and engineering
topics.
