During the summer of 2004 working with RET (Cynthia Paschal) we accomplished the following:

  • Learned the Legacy Cycle

  • Introduced to Biomedical Engineering areas of study

  • Worked with high professional instructors and mentor

  • Worked on curriculum for high school students that will be delivered via the legacy cycle modality

  • Researched X-rays equipment

  • Researched the world of analog and digital imaging

  • Researched the relationship between projections and planes (object orientation)

  • Researched the effect of noise, contrast and scattering due to the density and atomic make up of matter

  • Developed curriculum including all phases of the legacy cycle that can be used in a High School classroom that will instruct students in about topic

  • Developed demonstrations and labs with common items that any classroom teacher can use   without the constrains of cost

  • Developed a lasting relationship with our facilitator and mentor that will care on much longer that just the time spend during the summer of 2004

  • Developed a lasting relationship with other HS teacher that will last will past the summer of 2004

Thanks for the opportunity to work in the program. It been a real value and an experience that I will never forget....
