Department & Program: Civil Engineering

Outside interests/activities: I love to run, cook, bake (especially cookies!), hang out with friends, read, watch movies, hike, travel, and just generally be outside.

Why Vanderbilt: IVanderbilt is what you think of when you think of college.  When you see universities in the movies, it’s this kind of school they’re showing.  This is where people are brilliant and beautiful, they challenge you, as do the professors and the material itself.  It’s also an amazing campus of green grass and trees where the red brick contrasts very well with nature. Who could ask for more?

Likes best about Vanderbilt Engineering: I couldn’t ask for more in my classmates and professors.  The professors aren’t afraid to challenge us, but are pretty good at remembering that we’re in more than just their class.  My classmates are so much fun and helpful.  We’re very good at getting our work done and then making sure to take a break and go relax.
